HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Hundreds of students in search of university placements, were recently drawn to Golf Course Hotel for an Annual Careers Fair, one of the biggest in the land.
Organised by Rainbow International School Uganda, the fair was held between September 19th-20th, and drew close to one thousand visitors.
Derick Jones, Rainbow’s Principal, said since this is the fair, which was at its 22nd version, it provided hundreds of students with a chance to apply and be admitted to top notch international universities.
“There is no doubt that this offered a premier platform for gaining insight into top-tier universities from around the globe,” he said in an interview on the sidelines of the fair.
He said on September 18th, they held a special day for parents, who were invited to an exclusive evening session to engage with university representatives. These were provided with an opportunity for detailed discussions about educational options before the main fair opens to students.

The fair also brought together representatives from universities in Canada, United Kingdom, USA, Australia, Dubai, Switzerland, Ireland, among other countries, who engaged the prospective students in all aspects concerning their future education endeavors.
The representatives were well positioned in booths, armed with prospectuses, admission forms and all kinds of literature the new students would need to be admitted and enjoy a vibrant life at the respective universities.
The Rainbow Careers Fair has established a stellar reputation as one of the most comprehensive university fairs in the region. This year, over 30 prestigious institutions from countries including the UK, USA, Canada, Dubai, Australia, Switzerland, among other countries, took part.
