But the truth eventually comes out, and the liar finally receives their crown as Satan’s saint.

Reliable sources have intimated to Habari Daily that Katantazi is alive and kicking, only nursing wounds from a recent operation for an undisclosed illness.

“We were supposed to be with him in Ssesse Islands, where part of the group members had travelled for Christmas festivities. How he reportedly left this place for Hoima still remains a mystery,” said a member of the Ebonies on condition of anonymity.

He said several individuals have been tracking Captain Ricky over debts, that had recently overwhelmed him.

This cannot however be verified by the Habari Daily team, unless the subject of interest comes out himself and either deny or confirm the allegations.

That he announced himself dead from live bullets is one of the well-orchestrated schemes that seems to be out of a horror movie. Sources say he must have connived with several contacts of him to publicise his demise.

It’s only Hollywood actors that die of bullets without sound.

“We want to clarify that reports circulating on social media about the death of Bison Katantazi of the Ebonies in Hoima are false,” said Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson.

He confirmed that no shooting incident involving Captain Ricky happened in his region.

Although he called upon members of the public to obtain reliable information only from close family members and associates, he said they have kicked off investigation about Captain Ricky, since he might be having a case to answer.

“Although we are waiting for any complainant, to lodge a case, we are conducting our own investigation so that we get to the bottom of this matter,” he said.

Captain Ricky joined the Ebonies around 2011/12 during the group’s “Romantic Night” musicals and grew through the ranks, earning himself prominent stage roles.

Due to his vibrancy on the silver screen that especially endeared him to female theater goers, he had ventured out of the Ebonies Ensemble to try his luck as a freelance actor.

His absence would render a big blow to Uganda’s theater fraternity.
