HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Missile salvos have become the order of the day and night in what has been described as a major escalation in the Israel-Iran conflict.
The latest conflict began when Israel launched an assault on Iran’s top military leaders, uranium enrichment sites and nuclear scientists.
Israeli military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said that the attacks were necessary to prevent its long-time adversary from getting any closer to building an atomic weapon.
However, Iran maintains that its nuclear program is peaceful, although the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency has repeatedly warned that the country has enough enriched uranium to make several nuclear bombs if it chooses to do so.
Gen. Defrin further said that at this material time, assessments have revealed that Israel has achieved full aerial superiority over Tehran’s skies.
“We have destroyed more than 120 surface-to-surface missile launchers in central Iran, a third of Iran’s total, as well as two F-14 planes that Iran used to target Israeli aircraft,” he said, adding that multiple launchers were hit and destroyed just before they launched ballistic missiles towards Israel.
He said that in the recent 4 days, fighter jets had struck 10 command centers in Tehran belonging to Iran’s Quds Force, an elite arm of its Revolutionary Guard that conducts military and intelligence operations outside Iran.

Iran has retaliated by firing waves of ballistic missiles at Israel, killing up to 24 people, according to Government sources.

Iran has on its part announced it had launched some 1,000 missiles against Israel in a roaring retaliatory gesture. In the last few days Iran launched more than 370 missiles and hundreds of drones, which have cause tangible damage.
“We are set to conduct more strikes in retaliation for sweeping attacks on our military and nuclear infrastructure. Since Friday, what have lost at least 224 people around the country,” said an Iranian Government official.
Regime downfall
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister has in the meantime predicted the downfall of the Iranian Islamic Government, saying it was weak.
“Although we are not attempting to topple the Iranian government, it would curve in any time because its weak. This would probably happen partly due to our strikes. Netanyahu said that Israeli strikes against Iran have set Iran’s nuclear program back a very, very long time.

He also confirmed an attack on Iran’s state-run television station. This, official accounts reveal, was during a live broadcast
“This forced a reporter to run off camera following an explosion,” said an eye witness.
The violent exchange has raised concerns about all-out war between the countries, that would possibly set the whole region alight.
