HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Fort Portal City has presented an entry for dfcu Bank, following the official launch of its 55th branch in the Tourism City.
The new branch, which is strategically located along Babiiha Road, underscores dfcu Bank’s commitment to deepening financial inclusion, powering entrepreneurship, and fueling economic growth in Uganda’s Western region.
“The Fort Portal Branch is set to serve communities across the Tooro Sub-region — including Kabarole, Kyenjojo, Kamwenge, Bunyangabu, and Kasese — with a full suite of financial services tailored to individuals, entrepreneurs, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs),” reads part of a recently issued press statement.
“Through this new branch, dfcu Bank will expand access to credit, strengthen agribusiness, and empower the region’s tourism and trade sectors,” reads part of the statement.

Kate Kiiza, the dfcu Bank’s Executive Director emphasized their growth strategy and long-term commitment to Uganda’s development.
“For more than 60 years, dfcu Bank has been a partner in transforming lives and businesses across Uganda. The launch of our Fort Portal branch is a bold step in accelerating growth in this region, which is rich with opportunities in agriculture, tourism, oil, and trade,” she said during the opening ceremony.
She added that beyond financial solutions, they are creating employment opportunities, supporting SMEs, and enabling families and communities to thrive. “This investment reaffirms our belief in the immense potential of Western Uganda,” she added.
