PFF’s top leadership
HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has turned to social media platform X to criticize the newly introduced leadership of the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF).
The PFF revealed its new leadership at their offices in Katonga yesterday, 8th July 2025.
Kampala’s lord mayor Erias Lukwago has been appointed as the National Executive Chairman and will be supported by seasoned politicians Betty Aol Ochan and Dr. Lulume Bayiga as his deputies.
On X, FDC’s official account tweeted that it is disappointing that the build-up and anticipation for the PFF’s delegates conference resulted in leaders simply assigning positions to themselves.
“So now you’ve got the positions, some grabbed three, others two, some took the full package. It’s high time you remembered the real goal; freeing Uganda from dictatorship.”
FDC continued tweeting about how regrettable it is that these PFF leaders have seized and allocated positions to themselves, specifically calling out figures like Ssemujju Nganda and Ingrid Turinawe among others, to make way for others.
“Ingrid took three positions; Health, Education, and Social Infrastructure. It Must be exhausting carrying the whole government on her shoulders, or maybe just greedy hands.”
“Ssemujju took three positions; Secretary General, Publicity and Mobilisation. That’s not leadership, it’s greed,” said FDC, adding that while PFF stalwarts concentrate on dividing titles, for them they remain focused on offering Ugandans a true alternative.”
Additionally, Najjanankumbi based party stated that certain actions within PFF are unacceptable, labelling the practice of idolizing individuals as “small gods” as one of these behaviours.
“Certain behaviors cannot be tolerated within PFF, such as worshiping individuals as if they are ‘small gods’, individuals taking multiple positions, or ring-fencing positions for certain individuals.
“We are all equal, with the same rights. We are One Uganda, one people.”
