HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Love doesn’t ask why……..the popular songstress, Celine Dion, once hallowed in a romantic love ballad.
This seemed to have come true today when the tough-talking Sisimuka Uganda Founder and socio-political commentator, Frank Gashumba, was introduced by his beau, to her parents down in Sembabule.
The grapevine has it that early Thursday morning, Frank Gashumba, alongside family, close friends, and associates, made their way to Sembabule for what many had thought was to be a small meeting, but turned out to be gloss.
Those who were around him, however, couldn’t keep the hot news all to themselves. They later whispered to Habari Daily, that Gashumba might have chosen to take the short cut by having a traditional wedding, instead of a Church one.
In Uganda, a traditional wedding, or kwanjula in Buganda culture, is a cultural ceremony that symbolizes the joining of two families and is often separate from a religious ceremony.

It involves the groom’s party formally introducing themselves to the bride’s family, exchanging gifts, rings, and sometimes dowry, which is followed by the traditional give away.
Many Ugandans have managed to evade the costly Church wedding by stopping at this stage. They later quietly take their bride home to enjoy the marriage bliss and sear children.
This, according to his close associates, is the likely path Gashumba might have taken in his effort to avoid the scrutiny of the paparazis and glare of the stealthy cameras.
Whatever strategy he may have up his sleeve, we wish him all the best in his endeavors. Our sincere prayer is that he enjoys many magical moments with his young bride, Patience Mutoni Malaika.
After all, Patience is most likely his missing rib that he has spent over six years searching for.
