Gloria Busingye aka Gloria Bugie
HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Ugandan singer Gloria Busingye, popularly known as Gloria Bugie, has once again stirred conversation on social media with her unusual wishes.
Ahead of her birthday on September 22, the artist revealed that she would like two special gifts — a Mercedes-AMG G 63 (G-Wagon) and an acre of land in Kampala.
Bugie said she believes her fans can come together to make her wishes a reality.
“It’s just what I need — a G-Wagon G63 and an acre of land in Kampala. If you can’t get me the whole thing, you can at least contribute towards it,” she said.
The singer, who recently made headlines for undergoing BBL surgery to alter her appearance, added that her requests are genuine and she trusts her supporters to stand with her.
Her wishlist has since attracted mixed reactions online. While some fans praised her boldness and ambition, critics dismissed the requests as unrealistic and out of touch with ordinary Ugandans.
Bugie is no stranger to controversy. In the past, she has been criticized for stage performances and her outspoken lifestyle. Yet, each time, she continues to draw attention both for her music and her personality, ensuring that her name remains in the spotlight.
Gloria follows in the footsteps of several female celebrities who have made ridiculous birthday wishes. Galaxy FM presenter Sovaria Hughes is one of those who made such requests recently and it’s not clear if she got any of them.
