The Lovebirds, Levixone and Desire Luzinda
HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Gospel singer Lucas Lubyogo, popularly known as Levixone has revealed why he’s been keeping his relationship with former secular musician, Desire Luzinda a top secret.
The two over the weekend made their intimate relationship a public secret after the Chikibombe singer proposed to Luzinda.
Speaking to Habari Daily in an exclusive interview, Levixone said that they had never publicized their relationship because she had not yet accepted to marry him.
However, the couple had for many years rumored to be in a romantic relationship.
They even a few years ago reportedly held an introduction ceremony. The singer however brushed this aside saying that these were just people’s talk.
“Now I can gladly show her off because she has accepted to be my wife. I have known Desire for many years. But you cannot just publicize a relationship with someone when they haven’t yet given you their consent. But now it’s official and I can gladly show her off,” he said.
The couple is scheduled to wed next month and this has generated a lot of buzz amongst Ugandans. Many have questioned why the singer decided to settle for a woman that’s visibly older than her and with a controversial past.
Levixone however said that people can have their own opinions and that’s their right. He said he will never feel offended by people’s remarks, adding that Desire Luzinda is the perfect match for him.
