The Cranes Paradise Hotel, in Kisaasi
HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Moses Magogo, the President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has described as fit, Uganda Cranes hotel housing them in Kisaasi in Kampala.
The Cranes Paradise Hotel, which is housing the Cranes Men’s team is an unrated facility located at Kisaasi, suburb of Kampala.
Many on social media have pointed out how other teams in the CHAN 2024 tournament are staying at more prestigious hotels, such as Four Points by Sheraton and Golden Tulip.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Magogo said: “I want to talk about one of the issues that has been prevalent in the media. Its about the team hotel. It is true that as a Federation, we have seen some of this feedback from the public,” he said, adding, “I want to inform the general public that some of the publications that are being made are false.”
He added that a football hotel is customised and is unlike a general hotel.

“This exclusivity gives us a way of preparing our own food our own way. This hotel also has its own gym which is custom-made for football,” he said.
Magogo added that as we speak, FUFA is also developing an outdoor arena at the same location. “If you look through the windows, there’s a pitch which is being developed to enable players do night training.”
Magogo added that members of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) came and looked at the amenities and approved the hotel facility.
“According to the standards of the competition, who is more authoritative? Is it you, the competitor, or CAF?’ The Kisaasi hotel is perfect for Uganda Cranes.”
The Uganda Cranes have shown remarkable resilience on the pitch despite the controversy surrounding their accommodation. The team won two games at group level against Guinea and Niger with scores of 3-0 and 2-0, respectively. They also made a dramatic 3-3 draw against South Africa in their final group match.
