HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I The magic of Christmas, which is a feeling of joy, wonder, and togetherness, rooted in traditions, love, and generosity, has shone through Pearl Bank, inspiring a great give away.
Pearl Bank (formerly PostBank Uganda), recently unveiled a festive season campaign dubbed “Pearl Santa,” which will create special memories through shared experiences and gifts.
According to Priscilla Akora, the Pearl Bank’s Head of Marketing and Communications, the initiative, which was launched recently at the bank’s head office, is bent on celebrating its customers across select branches countrywide with surprise visits from Pearl Santa.
“The Purple Santa, which reflects our new brand color, is coming in a special way to share the joy of the Christmas,” she said at the recent launch of the campaign.
She said that the visits will add flavor to the festive holiday, which is always characterized with merry-making and the spirit of coming together with friends and family as they gear up for the Christmas holidays.
“Inviting our very own Pearl Santa into our branches is a fun, heartfelt way to thank our customers for their loyalty and to share the joy of the season with them. During this festive season, we want to celebrate our customers in a way that is personal and meaningful,” she noted.
She added that the Purple Santa, which is aligned to the bank’s primary colour, is part of the bank’s corporate identity, a key element in the bank’s transition journey from PostBank to Pearl Bank.”
Okora referred to the rebrand as more than a name change, but a renewed promise to serve their customers better.
“This we will do by welcoming Pearl Santa into our branches, we are putting a face to our appreciation as well as creating moments of human connection as well as lasting relationships with our customers,” she noted.
Pearl Santa is set to visit select branches to merry make, cut cake, and interact with customers about the transition journey from 9th December to 23rd December 2025.
A recent statement from the bank added that the Pearl Santa initiative is the first customer engagement under the new name.
“It emphasises the bank’s objective of improving customer experience through building intentional relationships with customers by including a personal touch.”
As one of the milestones, the bank got the license approval by Bank of Uganda to operate as Pearl Bank recently. It will hence be rolling out several activities that are aligned to its purpose of fostering Prosperity for Ugandans.
This is implemented through its two high impact goals of driving sustainability and financial inclusion.
