HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I The world reknowned Malawian preacher and global faith leader Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is set to pray and prophesy over Uganda in a gathering set to draw hundreds of believers from around the world.
The prophetic gathering is set for Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Lugogo Hockey Grounds, according to officials of Healing Fountain Ministries, the hosts, will accord attendants, peace of mind and direction.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, ahead of the event, organisers said the visit goes beyond a conventional religious meeting, positioning it as a moment of spiritual renewal, leadership guidance and national reflection at the start of the year.
“I really want to appreciate God for giving me the honor to be the host of this conference that is going to happen on the 31st of January, 2026,” she said. “We are privileged to have Prophet Dr. Shepherd Bushiri come and speak to us here in Uganda,” said Prophetess Dr. Faith Obayi, founder of Healing Fountain Ministries, who will be the host.
She described the upcoming conference as both an honor and a responsibility. “Prophet Bushiri as a global influencer whose ministry spans more than 76 countries. He is a man that has raised and mentored presidents, business people and leaders across the globe,” she said.
She described the visiting Prophet’s profile as high and distinguished. “He is not only a preacher, but a mentor and a businessman whose impact has touched nations. It is important that Uganda asa nation begins the year with spiritual guidance.
“The Bible tells us that God reveals His secrets through prophets. This prophet is very unique—you cannot encounter him and remain the same.”
Prophetess Obayi, noted that the conference is open to everyone, regardless of background. “I want to invite Uganda as a nation—individuals, families, spiritual leaders, politicians, business people and students,” she said. “If you are seeking wisdom, direction, healing or clarity in your life, this is a moment you should not miss.”
“This is a great opportunity for us to have a man of God, a prophet in the calibre of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri,” she said.
Mukooli emphasized that Uganda is “deeply blessed” to receive Prophet Bushiri at this time, noting that the conference is designed to impact not only individuals seeking spiritual intervention, but also leaders in business and governance.
“This is not only a spiritual event. It is a platform for prophetic insight for our business leaders, our leaders in government and governance. We are going to receive from a man of experience. He holds doctorates in management and philosophy, and at the same time he handles spiritual matters. We have got a lot to learn from him.”
Chris Henry Mukooli, the Director of Finance and Administration at Healing Fountain Ministries described Prophet Bushiri as a man who is yearned for all over the globe—in America, Australia, Japan and across Africa.
“What a privilege to host such a speaker in our midst,” he said during the briefing, held at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Mukooli urged Ugandans from all sectors to attend, saying the prophetic encounter could help the nation move to a higher level of accountability and stewardship.
“I am encouraging our people across all sectors—business leaders, families, leaders—to come and learn, to get direction in the area of stewardship, accountability and governance. This will impact our society and our nation. As a country, we can’t afford to miss this chance, especially at the beginning of the year,” he said.
He also shared personal testimonies from previous gatherings led by Prophet Bushiri, citing experiences of healing and prophetic insight as evidence of the impact of the preacher’s ministry.
“I have personally experienced healings that challenged even the most skeptical. When you encounter such a prophet, you realize that God speaks in different dimensions, giving direction and solving deep-rooted challenges,” Mukooli said.
He added that Prophet Bushiri’s appeal extends well beyond Uganda’s borders, with interest already registered from neighboring countries.
“I have received calls internationally and nationally—from South Sudan, from Kenya—people saying, ‘What a privilege.’ Many nations across the world are yearning to meet this man of God, and now he is coming to Uganda,” he said.
Dr Obayi highlighted Prophet Bushiri’s involvement in various economic sectors, including agriculture and education. “He owns over 20,000 acres of land where he is doing farming that is helping to raise the economy of Malawi.
He also runs institutions like the IS Academy. Whatever field you are in—business, farming, academics—there is something to learn from him,” Obayi said.
The conference is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m., with organizers urging attendees to arrive early due to the expected large turnout. Obayi said invitations have been extended regionally and internationally, with participants expected from East Africa, the wider African continent, Europe and North America.
She also expressed gratitude to Ugandan authorities for supporting freedom of worship. “We appreciate the government of Uganda and our leadership for the support and the freedom accorded to us to worship,” she said.
The gathering is additionally set to be a moment of unity, prayer and renewal for every participant.
