Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel Manizo with wife Sandra Teta
HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Singer Douglas Mayanja, popularly known as Weasel Manizo, has spoken out about his current relationship with longtime partner Sandra Teta, weeks after a dramatic incident that left him nursing injuries.
The pair made headlines last month after a heated exchange at a bar turned sour, leading to an accident in which Weasel was knocked down. Many expected the Goodlyfe star to react harshly, but he instead chose forgiveness.
In a recent television interview, Weasel said he and Sandra have moved past the incident and are working on strengthening their union.
“She is my wife, the mother of my children, and I love her. Whatever happened was an accident. We chose to focus on understanding each other and moving forward. It even taught me to be humble and spend more time at home, which has been a blessing in disguise,” he explained.
Weasel, who underwent surgery after the accident, revealed that doctors at Nsambya Hospital are pleased with his recovery. His cast has been removed, and although he still feels slight pain, he is now able to walk and support himself.
“I only worry about the day I will have to remove the metals in my leg, but so far I feel good. The doctors are happy with my progress,” he added.
The accident forced him to cancel and postpone a number of performances. Weasel, however, expressed gratitude to his fans for their patience and understanding.
