Ms Janet Museveni will officially release the results at State House Nakasero
HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will this Friday, March 13, 2026 release the results of the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations, marking the end of the national examination cycle and clearing successful candidates to pursue university admissions.
The results will officially be released at 11:00 a.m. during a ceremony to be held at State House Nakasero and presided over by the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni.
According to UNEB, a total of 166,402 candidates registered and sat for the examinations conducted between November 10 and December 5, 2025 at 2,844 centres across the country.
Of the total number of candidates, 93,630 were male, representing 56 percent, while 77,772 were female, accounting for 44 percent. UNEB noted that the figure represents a significant 14.6 percent increase compared to the number of candidates who sat the examinations in 2024.
In an official statement issued ahead of the release, UNEB said the results would be made accessible to candidates through multiple platforms immediately after the official ceremony.
“Following the official release, candidates will be able to access their results through the UNEB online portal, by SMS through the shortcode 6600, or through their respective examination centres,” the statement reads in part.
UNEB further cautioned schools to ensure they clear all outstanding financial obligations with the examinations body, warning that results for institutions with unpaid examination invoices would not be released.
“The Board wishes to remind all heads of institutions that results for schools with outstanding invoices or examination fees will be withheld until the necessary payments are made,” UNEB stated.
Candidates checking their results via SMS are required to type “UACE” followed by their index number and send it to 6600.
The release of the results now paves the way for successful candidates to apply for admission to universities and other tertiary institutions for the 2026 academic year.
