Counter terrorism forces have cordoned off the area
HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Devastation and horror have gripped the people of Lugazi town following a deafening explosion that claimed the lives of two of their contemporaries.
This happened today afternoon in Triangle Zone of Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District.
News reaching the Habari News desk is that the victims met their destructive end as they were attempting to work on a metal structure.
“The two wielders were blown to pieces as they went around their work. They were just hardworking gentlemen and didn’t deserve to die,” said an eye witness who preferred to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the issue.
He said mental structure is suspected to have contained an improvised war gadget that had not exploded at an earlier stage.
“The sound was deafening and brought us memories of war that ravaged this area many years ago,” he said.
Our efforts to talk to Police in the area were futile since the officers on the ground said they were not authorized to speak to the press.

By the time we went to place, teams from the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF), Uganda Police, and other counter terrorism units had cordoned off the area and were conducting preliminary investigations.
The bodies of the victims were still at the scene, while their identities had not yet been established by press time.
