HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has said the results for Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams are set to be released today, February Feb 11th 2025.
In a brief statement issued on Monday, UNEB said the results will be released at State House, Nakasero, at a colorful occasion to be presided over by the First Lady and minister of Education, Janet Kataaha Museveni.
Whereas the initial release date was Friday, February 7, it was postponed due to the Minister of Education and Sports’ prior commitments.
The examinations body further disclosed that this is the first time it is releasing UCE results covering the first cohort of the new Lower Secondary Curriculum and the last cohort of the old curriculum/transitional candidates.
“This is the maiden examination under the New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC) which were sat last year,” said UNEB.
Jennifer Kalule, the UNEB Principal Public Relations Officer, referred to the year 2024 as a unique year in the history of UNEB, “as we are conducting two sets of Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations simultaneously.”
A total of 379,748 candidates sat for the exams, with 369,601 being pioneers of the new curriculum and 10,147 taking the transitional examination.
