HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I After arresting singer Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, in connection with the death of popular dancer Wilfred Namuwaya, widely known as Top Dancer, the Uganda Police has freed him on bond.
For days, fans had been questioning the musician’s whereabouts after police operatives visited his home last Friday during investigations.
On Wednesday, Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango revealed that Alien Skin voluntarily reported to the Directorate of Crime Intelligence, before being taken to Katwe Police Station where he recorded a statement.
Police sources link his arrest to the alleged abduction and assault of Namuwaya at Fangone Forest, said to have been carried out on the orders of the singer’s group. The dancer sustained severe injuries, was rushed to Mulago Hospital, but unfortunately passed away. He was buried a few days ago.
Onyango later revealed that they decided to free the singer as investigations about the alleged murder proceed.
