HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Newly crowned Miss Uganda 2025/26, Trivia Muhoza, has promised to give her all at the upcoming Miss World pageant as she seeks to make history for Uganda.
Speaking shortly after her coronation at Sheraton Kampala Hotel last weekend, Muhoza said she is determined to represent Uganda with pride and bring home the country’s first-ever Miss World crown.
“For this journey, I will put God first in everything I do and use all my strength to make Uganda proud,” she said, adding that she believes her passion and purpose will carry her far.
Muhoza, 22, grew up in Kampala and attended Namirembe Infants, Namirembe Parents, and Nakasero Primary School. She later studied at Seroma High School and Kisubi High School.
Although she faced setbacks in modelling and earlier pageants, she says those challenges motivated her to push harder until she finally claimed the Miss Uganda crown.
At the grand finale, Muhoza took over from outgoing queen Natasha Nyonyozi. Faith Kirabo was named 1st Runner-Up, while Agatha Drakes Keine finished as 2nd Runner-Up.
Muhoza said her “Beauty with a Purpose” project will focus on supporting women and children, a cause she describes as close to her heart.
“I believe that empowering vulnerable groups is key to building stronger communities. I hope this will strengthen her campaign on the global stage,” she said.
Muhoza follows in the footsteps of past Miss Uganda queens who have shined internationally.
Hannah Karema Tumukunde (Miss Uganda 2023/24) reached the Top 8 and won Miss World Africa, while Natasha Nyonyozi (2024/25) won the Beauty with a Purpose Africa award.
Quiin Abenakyo remains Uganda’s most successful contestant, having made the global Top 5 in 2018.
Inspired by these achievements, Muhoza says she is ready to go even further: “I know the journey won’t be easy, but I believe it is possible. I want to bring the Miss World crown to Uganda.”
