HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Ugandan songstress Spice Diana has clarified that she has no intention of joining fellow musician Nina Roz’s political campaign, despite wishing her well in her new journey.
During a recent media interaction, Spice Diana was asked whether she would support Nina Roz, who recently secured the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket to contest as Sembabule District Woman MP.
In response, the Source Management star brushed off the idea of campaigning, joking that the only cards she knows are immunization cards and national IDs — not political party cards.
“I congratulate Nina Roz, but I won’t be physically campaigning for her. I wish her all the best, but that’s a different matter altogether,” she said.
Spice Diana further addressed speculation of lingering tension between herself and Nina Roz, stemming from an earlier spat where Nina allegedly mocked her height. The “Siri Regular” singer dismissed any bad blood, stressing that she holds no grudges.
“I have no problem with her. Even if I were short, I wouldn’t be bitter over such comments,” she added.
Nina Roz is among several entertainers selected by NUP to represent the party in the 2026 general elections. However, her bid is expected to be tough, as she will have to battle incumbent Mary Begumisa, who is likely to return as an independent after losing the NRM primaries to Florence Nambaziira.
