HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Habari Daily has expressly learnt that Jose Chameleon, the 48-year old musician has survived blindness after undergoing an emergency eye operation at a Kampala hospital.
This eye surgery has come after several health scares in the recent past where the prominent singer received specialized treatment in the United States for acute Pancreatitis.
He thus lost a lot of stage time, since he could not perform for quite a while as he recovered after experiencing severe abdominal complications, in addition to Liver and Pancreas issues. These were all linked to his previous lifestyle of endless partying.
In a post on his X account (formerly Twitter), Chameleon wrote: “I thank you lord for another great morning!! I thank Dr Ludovica Tindebwa @Kim fadr and the entire Kampala eye Lasik hospital team for my eye surgery and your hospitality,” he said, adding: “I was rapidly losing my sight on my right eye. I seek your healing as always my Lord.”
Chameleon was also previously hospitalised at Nakasero Hospital with severe abdominal pain. Doctors tending to him recommended that he should be flown overseas for specialized treatment, failure of which, the singer was to face dire health complications.
His more than 480,000 followers on X wished him speedy recovery.
