HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I The debacle ravaging two gangs, one led by Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso and the other led by Patrick Mulwana aka Alien Skin, will soon end in heavy bloodshed.
It’s upon this background that minister in charge of youth and children has ordered police to dismantle, with immediate effect, the two gangs that have turned themselves into a nuisance.
He said the devastating story of a young man brutally assaulted in Buloba during a clash between Fangone Forest (Alien Skin gang) and Pallaso group, is a heartbreaking testament to the chaos.
“We are saying enough is enough. Authorities should dismantle these gangs with immediate effect. Even the sponsors should boycott such groups to show them that propagation of violence has consequences,” said Balaam Barugahara.
Bloody genesis
The heart-wrecking thing is that Police has all along been watching as these bloody encounters transpired. They have now reached a boiling point where the sired demons are baying for human blood.
One bloody scenario has led to another until the gangs decided to take their fight into Kabaka’s yard in Lubiri.
On the unfortunate night, all hell broke loose when Alien Skin’s gang forcefully invaded Buganda Kingdom’s end-of-year fete and beat revelers who heckled their principals as he performed.
This resulted into bloody clashes where several show goers were left nursing swollen body parts. Others lost their valuables such as mobile phones and wallets to Alien Skin’s gang.

Still last week, Alien Skin and his gang raided the Mpele music concert in Buloba and forcefully removed musician Pallaso from the stage while he was performing.
Alien Skin additionally punched Pallaso as he left the venue while his group also attacked several show goers.
The other gangster patiently waited for payback time. He [Pallaso] organized fellow gangsters who raided the home of the Alien Skin gang in Makindye and destroyed valuable property. Alien Skin survived by hiding on top of the building while many of his group members reportedly hid in the ceiling.
Police has revealed that the suspects allegedly destroyed property worth millions of shillings. These included five motor vehicles, which had shattered windshields and damaged lights, three houses with shattered glasses, and allegedly robbed cash amounting to sh6m.
Available reports show that the suspects were armed with pangas, axes, hammers and stones.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson said that preliminary investigations have revealed that Alien Skin) and the suspect (Pallaso) had a disagreement while performing at a music show in Buloba, Wakiso district.
“The dispute escalated, leading to the attack on Alien Skin’s residence,” he said.
The clashes have attracted public uproar, with many people saying that the groups should be dismantled forthwith.
“Government should use similar speed and urgency it displays while dismantling demonstrations, to to reign in the culprits” said Norah Babirye, a resident of Makerere Kikoni.
Onyango, said the case has been recorded as a suspected aggravated robbery and malicious damage and is being investigated by the Police in Katwe.
He identified the victims as Joseph Nyanzi, Julius Mugabi and Baker. The Police further stated that two other victims were receiving treatment at Mengo Hospital by the time we went to press.

The Police have henceforth issued a statement on gang violence among musicians, saying all individuals involved in the actions will be held responsible for their conduct.
“The Uganda Police has observed a trend among musicians who are utilising gangs to intimidate one another, leading to disorder and chaos at public events and entertainment places,” the Police said in a statement issued on Thursday.
Police further said that such behavior is both unacceptable and deserving of condemnation.
Barugahara, among other music promoters, also condemned the emerging gangster violence within the sector, saying that effective immediately, they shall not associate with or promote any artiste affiliated with gangs or involved in violence against others.
Clues on Pallaso hideout
Onyango revealed that they have obtained clues on Pallaso’s hideout, and will soon dig him out and make sure he faces the wrath of the law.
“It’s only a matter of time before we get him. He cannot hide away from the long arm of the law,” he said.
Many music lovers have called for the restoration of discipline and decency in the art sector, minus which creatives cannot flourish.
