Sheilah Gashumba
HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I City businessman and outspoken public figure Frank Gashumba has come out strongly in praise of his daughter, Sheilah Gashumba, describing her as the highest-paid media personality in Uganda.
Speaking during a recent media appearance, Gashumba claimed that Sheilah earns up to Shs 5 million per hour, a figure he says puts her beyond the reach of most local media houses. According to him, this explains why she is no longer tied to traditional media platforms.
“My daughter earns about five million shillings per hour. There is no media house in Uganda that can afford her,” Frank said.
“Even if I died today, I know her future is secure. She makes her own money and has even helped me financially before.”
Frank shared that at one point, Sheilah stepped in to support him financially to save him from borrowing from friends, something he said made him proud as a parent. He emphasized that his daughter’s success is a clear example of why parents should invest in educating their children, especially girls.
He also advised men to support hardworking women, noting that financially independent partners can be a strong pillar in times of need.
Beyond media and influencing, Sheilah has built a reputation as a high-end socialite and entrepreneur. She has also taken steps into charity work, recently offering to support a young girl from Kabale District who went viral for cycling long distances to school.
Frank credited himself for playing a key role in raising Sheilah into the woman she is today, applauding her discipline, work ethic, and independence.
