Police are still detaining Joline Mutesi Dusabe, the wife of Chris Rugari, at Jinja Road Police Station on suspicion that she killed her two-and-a-half-year-old baby boy.
As investigations into the child’s death go on, many questions have emerged, and they are yet to be answered.

According to the investigators who stormed the couple’s home, they wanted to physically ascertain how the child could have accessed the window, assess the trajectory of the alleged fall and determine whether the injuries found on his body were consistent with the incident as described by the mother who is now the principle suspect.
Some unanswered questions:
1- How could the child have accessed the window?
2- What position would he have fallen from?
3- How did the body get that far from the window in the compound?
4- How come investigators found no external injuries on the baby’s body. There was no swelling, no scratches, no bleeding, despite the claim that he had fallen from the height of over five meters?
5- How come the child sustained internal injuries that were not consistent with a simple fall?

Though the findings from the reconstruction exercise are yet to be released, sources said Dusabe’s demonstration of how the baby fell raised fresh contradictions and questions as well.
The murder probe comes at a time when Rugari has filed for divorce, doubting the paternity of the five children he reportedly had with Dusabe. This followed DNA tests conducted on three of the children, which revealed that he was the biological father of only one of the kids.
