HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I In a show of generosity, Barbara Amuge was honored with the annual Bancassurance Award in recognition of her outstanding performance in selling insurance packages to clients.
Bancassurance is the act of selling of life assurance and other insurance products and services by banking institutions.
Amuge, who works as a teller at Post Bank Kawempe Branch amazed the managers with her outstanding performance. Being that this award is a celebration of partnership and excellence between ICEA LION Life Assurance and PostBank, it carries all the glory.
Anne Njeri Njugi, the Chief Operations Officer of ICEA LION Life Insurance alluded to Amuge’s dedication to promote insurance awareness and financial security among clients.
“This has earned her an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai. It’s a well- deserved recognition of her relentless service,” she said.
Speaking during the official presentation of the award recently held at PostBank City Branch recently, Njeri emphasized the significance of the collaboration between ICEA LION and Post Bank, highlighting its long-term potential.

“We appreciate the management team at Post Bank, and we believe this partnership will become more sustainable over time,” she said, adding that the gesture is an act of celebration of the hard work and commitment of the Post Bank team in promoting bancassurance solutions.
She announced that also lined up are awards for next year’s top performers, adding that the next winners will be awarded with a trip to China.
Martin Mugisha, Post Bank’s Executive Director in charge of Operations, said that Uganda’s growing economy was in need of the fast-growing facility of bancassurance.
“What we treasure most at PostBank is ensuring financial security for our clients through bancassurance. Our desire has always been that all our clients are safeguarded in the event of unlikely events,” he said.
He said since they cannot do that in isolation, they were prompted to partner with one of Uganda’s most outstanding insurance companies – ICEA Lion.
Mugisha said that their goal is to empower more individuals and businesses with insurance solutions that offer financial security and peace of mind.
