HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I Bukedde TV presenter Princess Leila Ndagire recently stood out of the crowd to claim the award of Best TV Business News Reporter, during the Fourth Edition of the Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA).The Pakasa TV program presenter emerged winner out of the eight nominated personalities in her category.

Speaking during the award ceremony which was held at the International University of East Africa (IUEA) auditorium recently, Princess Ndagire dedicated the award to Vision Group, which she referred to as her training turf.
“This award is primarily dedicated to Vision Group, which offered me a platform to practice my trade at a young age, and has stood by me through all the challenges I have experienced through the years,” she said, also hailing her family as a caution on her journey to success.
She additionally hailed the Pakasa Team at Bukedde as the best in the land and sponsors such as GROW Project, for investing in her show for years, which has enabled it become one of the best on the airwaves.
The Pakasa TV show was inspired by the Pakasa Forum which runs in the New Vision every Monday and featured enterprising individuals from around the country.
Dr. Thaddeus Musoke Nagenda chairman KACITA Uganda noted that held under the theme: Celebrating Excellence, Inspiring Innovations, the awards were the most competitive in the recent past.
“This time around, there was 70% public opinion and 30% expert opinion. This means that the winners were largely voted for by members of the public countrywide and not just in Kampala,” he said.
Among these were the Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB), Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Movit, MTN MOMO, Uganda Waragi, Rwenzori Beverages, among others.
New Vision was also awarded as the best outstanding print media company of the year 2024.
KACITA Quality Awards recognize outstanding achievements of businesses and government agencies that have significantly contributed to Uganda’s business landscape.
