HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I In a heartfelt gesture of support, the Keddi Foundation, based in Entebbe, has contributed $15,000 (approximately sh56m) towards the much-anticipated Busoga Kingdom royal wedding. The foundation’s founder and CEO, Steven Keddi, presented the generous donation to Ahmed Osman Noor, the Busoga Kingdom second deputy prime minister, during a special ceremony at the kingdom’s headquarters and offices in Bugembe Jinja.
During the presentation, Keddi expressed the foundation’s commitment to serving humanity and promoting unity, citing these as core values that align with their decision to support the Kyabazinga’s wedding. He emphasized the importance of participating in this historic event as a means of embracing and promoting cultural heritage.
“We are excited and pleased to be part of this historic moment in the making. As a foundation serving humanity, we felt this wedding was part of our calling, and as such, the best way to do it is to reach out and give back to our Busoga folks and brothers,” Keddi stated.
He extended warm wishes to the Busoga king, William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV, and the queen-to-be, Jovia Mutesi, as they celebrate their marriage, scheduled for November 18. The royal wedding will take place at Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe, followed by a grand reception at the kingdom.
Expressing gratitude for the foundation’s contribution, Ahmed Osman Noor conveyed appreciation to the various companies, organizations, and individuals, including Steven Keddi’s foundation, for their dedicated support in making the Kyabazinga’s wedding day a success. Noor highlighted that the upcoming wedding event, named ‘Embaga ya Mwenemu,’ promises to be filled with pomp and a high-end royal experience.
The Keddi Foundation, established in 2018 as a not-for-profit non-governmental organization, is dedicated to serving humanity by providing opportunities, dignity, and hope to those in need. The foundation focuses on uplifting underserved communities through initiatives in health, education, climate, water, and sanitation.
As the Busoga Kingdom eagerly prepares for the royal wedding, the support from the Keddi Foundation adds to the collective effort in ensuring the success and grandeur of this momentous occasion in the kingdom’s history
