HABARI DAILY I Kampala, Uganda I The leader of the Democratic Front (DF), Mathias Mpuuga, has introduced singer Patrick Mulwana, also known as Alien Skin, as the new secretary for the party. This was during the party’s delegates conference, which was held in Masaka City last week, where various people were assigned different roles.
Mpuuga said Alien Skin will serve as the Secretary for Arts in the new party. The singer had previously been announced by the party a few months ago, but this was not made official since the party was still functioning as a pressure group called the Democratic Alliance.
The Democratic Front boss further noted that Alien Skin’s responsibility will be to foster youthful and cultural involvement within the party.
“This man is is not just an entertainer but also advocates for cultural integration. As such, this will be his function within the party, having agreed to and signed the contract for this role,” he pointed out.
He added that Alien Skin will also be charged with inspiring and facilitating cultural engagement among the youth.
Whether Alien Skin will genuinely influence the party remains to be seen as the general elections approach. Several candidates affiliated with the Democratic Front have already shown interest in various positions.
